Bachelor of Business Administration Program

At the College of Business Administration, we prepare students to play an important role in managing modern organizations, with a special focus on Management, Business Analytics, Supply Chain and Logistics Management, and Accounting and Finance. Our graduates have played, and continue to play, key roles in developing strategies for the UAE's success in both the government and private sectors. Our programs are well-aligned to develop UAE professionals and the intellectual capital required in today’s organizations. Our graduates have been placed in key positions in various organizations in the UAE.
The College of Business Administration has high-tech systems for course delivery, interactive activities, and community services in the UAE. The College has high-profile Faculty members who are qualified from prestigious Universities around the world. The faculty members have modern exposure to writing case studies and using them in the classes for practical exposure for our graduates. Our graduates work at various strategic levels in government and private corporations.
Our programs are fully recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, UAE, and International Accreditation bodies. The College of Business Administration is also a member of ACBSP. All the concentrations are aligned to help UAE professionals develop intellectual capital, assume leadership roles, manage international business, train staff, apply for the best banking, logistics, and supply chain projects, and maintain emotional intelligence in modern organizations.

The College of Business Administration seeks to educate students from diverse backgrounds and provide them with the fundamental skills, knowledge, and practical experience in business administration to become responsible, productive managers and leaders in their respective fields.

Program structure completion requirements

The College of Business Administration of the University of Fujairah offers one undergraduate degree program (Bachelor of Business Administration) with four concentrations: 

1) Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) – Management

2) Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) –Accounting and Finance

3) Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) – Business Analytics

4) Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) – Supply Chain and Logistics Management

 

The Bachelor of Business Administration degree requires the completion of 120 credit hours distributed according to the following plan:

Learning Resources

Students have access to all the learning resources offered by Fujairah University – the library, computer labs, the Internet and web platforms, academic journal databases, and resources from collaborating institutions.

The BBA courses ensure an optimum classroom learning environment to achieve the program’s objectives. Knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation are emphasized in the design and delivery of courses. The system of instruction employed in the BBA program provides a student-centered approach that involves discussions, participation, and shared responsibility for learning, co-operation, case analysis, examinations, and expert roles.

The use of technology, simulation, and the synthesis of expert knowledge applicable to business organizations in the new economic environment will be the key focus points designed to enhance and ensure the program’s academic quality.

 

Admission Requirements

  • In accordance with the University’s requirements for undergraduate degrees, a candidate to be admitted into the CBA undergraduate programs must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Pass the UAE General Secondary High School Exam, or students must submit an equivalency of a non-Emirati certificate issued by the MOE.
  • Achievement of a minimum grade of 80% in English Language in their General Secondary School Certificate. If the grade is less than 80%, the student may be conditionally admitted and study the English "Foundation Course" offered by FU and pass it with a minimum score of 80%.
  • Students who have studied curricula not affiliated with the Ministry of Education are not required to provide proof of English language proficiency if the curriculum is taught in English. 
  • Students who have studied curricula not affiliated with the Ministry of Education and in a language of instruction other than English can demonstrate proficiency by passing internationally standardized tests. The student must achieve a minimum TOEFL IPT score of (500) or IBT TOEFL (61 or CBT TOEFL - 173); or a minimum score of (5.0) in Academic IELTS; or Equivalent to that in other English proficiency tests approved by the MoE, OR the student may be accepted conditionally and study English "Foundation Course" offered by FU and pass it with a minimum score of 80%. 

Transfer Students from Accredited Institutions:

Graduate students from accredited institutions of higher education may apply for admission to the BBA program at Fujairah University. 

Documents Required for Admission to the BBA Program

  1. Completed Application Form
  2. UAE Secondary School Certificate, or its equivalent
  3. Certified copy of the Grade Transcript
  4. Certificate of proficiency in the English Language,
  5. Photocopy of a valid Passport
  6. A copy of the UAE ID Card for UAE residents
  7. Health Certificate, issued by a University doctor
  8. Certificate of good conduct,
  9. Six recent passport-size photographs
  10. Written commitment signed by the applicant that he/she will observe  university rules and regulations

 

Admission Validity

Admission to the BBA program is valid for at most two semesters. If an admitted student does not join the program within this period, the admission offer will be canceled.

 

Attendance Policy

Students are expected to attend and fully participate in all classes. A minimum of 75% attendance will be required for each registered course.

Graduation Requirements

Students will be awarded the Bachelor of Business Administration degree upon fulfillment of the following requirements: 

  • Successful completion of 120 credit hours, which usually takes eight semesters.
  • 16 weeks of Work Placement (BBA-4710 Strategic Management and complete 96 credit hours), equivalent to three credit hours. 
  • A minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average of 2. 0.
