The Center for International Student Support at Fujairah University helps international and inbound exchange students settle into university life, connect with the campus community, and access the support they need throughout their studies.
Based within the Department of Student Affairs, the Center provides a dedicated point of contact and works with academic and administrative departments to make the student experience welcoming, inclusive, and accessible.
How We Support You
Welcome and Orientation
Starting university in a new country brings opportunities and practical questions. Our international student orientation introduces you to FU’s academic environment, campus facilities, student services, and life in Fujairah.
Welcome activities and the student buddy program help you meet fellow students, build friendships, and become familiar with the University. Throughout the academic year, cultural and social events provide opportunities to share experiences and participate in campus life.
Immigration and Visa Support
The Center coordinates with the responsible university office to help you access information and assistance with student visa and residency processes, relevant documentation, and renewal procedures.
Contact the Center early if you need support with a visa or residency matter so that your enquiry can be directed to the appropriate staff.
Language Support
The Center helps international students access language support classes and language competency courses coordinated with the relevant academic units.
Support focuses on the communication skills needed for university study and participation, including academic reading and writing, presentations, and classroom discussions. Contact the Center for information about available courses, schedules, and registration.
Academic and Personal Support
If you are unsure where to seek help, the Center can connect you with academic advising, learning support, counseling and well-being services, accessibility support, and other relevant university services.
For inbound exchange students, the Center also coordinates with the relevant academic and administrative offices to support orientation and adjustment during their time at FU.
