As part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening partnerships with the private sector and providing applied learning opportunities that support students’ professional development, a group of students from the University of Fujairah participated in a comprehensive training program hosted by BHM Capital, one of the leading financial institutions in the United Arab Emirates, at its headquarters in Dubai.

The BHM Capital team delivered a series of interactive sessions covering essential topics such as: an introduction to capital markets, client onboarding processes, regulatory frameworks, brokerage operations, risk management in capital markets, digitalization and online trading, and the role of market makers, in addition to financial crime and market manipulation. These sessions offered students a rich opportunity to gain a holistic understanding of the financial market structure and deepen their awareness of the challenges and opportunities within the sector.

Students expressed their gratitude for this educational opportunity, describing the visit as a valuable knowledge-building experience that expanded their understanding of how financial markets operate and addressed many of their questions regarding trading mechanisms and financial technology applications.

This participation is part of a series of initiatives undertaken by the University of Fujairah to bridge academic learning with practical application, create stimulating educational environments that enhance students’ readiness for the job market, and support the university’s vision of graduating qualified national talent equipped with the skills and capabilities.
